STEVE LUQUIRE AWARDED CHARLOTTE AD CLUB’S TOP HONOR
LGA President and Partner Receives 2007 Silver Medal Award
Charlotte, N.C. (July 28, 2007) – Steve Luquire, president and partner of Luquire George Andrews (LGA),
one of the Southeast region’s leading advertising, marketing and public relations firms, today received
the 2007 Silver Medal Award. This award is the Charlotte Ad Club’s highest honor.
Luquire co-founded LGA in 1984, building the business from a three-man shop to Charlotte’s top
integrated agency. Since then, Luquire has been involved in virtually every aspect of the agency’s
services, including branding, strategy, public relations and new business initiatives.

“LGA has been blessed with great talent over the years, but Steve has really taken us to another level
through his firm leadership, personal commitment to excellent client service, and his commitment to
making LGA a great partner to so many organizations in our community,” said Clay Andrews, LGA
partner and executive creative director.
Luquire has made numerous contributions to the community both business-related and philanthropic.
Active in several organizations throughout the Charlotte region, Luquire is the chair of the Charlotte
Regional Partnership and is on the executive board of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce. His current
philanthropic endeavors include serving on the board of directors for the Salvation Army and the
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Foundation. He also serves on the board of Park Sterling Bank.
“I’m thrilled to receive this honor on behalf of LGA,” said Luquire. “More than anything, it’s a
wonderful tribute to the creative vision of my partner and co-founder, Clay Andrews, and to the core of
great people who have helped build the agency over the past two decades.”
LGA has received numerous awards for its creative work, including the Gold World Medal and Grand
Award from the New York International Film and Video Festival; multiple Gold and Silver ADDY
Awards locally, regionally, and nationally; the Design Excellence Award from PRINT magazine; and
Awards of Excellence from the National School Public Relations Association.
Past beneficiaries of the Silver Medal Award include Jennifer Appleby, Bill Loeffler, Jim Mountjoy,
Max Muhleman, Bob Ward, and Charles Wray.
